Introduction...

In 1996 the L'Exquisite cattery was born in a town called Pretoria which is in South Africa. Although the "bug" bit in 1989, it was only in 1995 that I bought my first Persian - a beautiful kitten called "Shura". Since then I have been involved in all facets of the cat world: shows, stewarding, show manager and now I am a qualified Persian/Exotic and Medium Hair judge.

Although I breed most colours, I specialize in Smokes and Whites which are my passion. Type is extremely important to me for show purposes, but just as important are the health and temperament of my cats and are what I carefully consider before I select to breed.  All my cats over 10mths have been tested for PKD.

It is important to me that my cats are given plenty of room, fresh air and sunlight and as much love as they can handle. My boys each have their own "house" with a veranda in my garden and the girls live with me in my house. My kittens are raised in the house, underfoot and more often than not sleep on my bed with me!  All my kittens and adult cats are sold to loving homes only and with contracts i.e.: breeder or spay/neuter.
